DOCSIS 3.1 on paper, but only 24mbps upload speed

Bought this last year after moving to a house with Comcast cable internet. Figured it's DOCSIS 3.1, so future proof, and ordered the Comcast 300mbps down 10mbps up service. Fast forward a year from now, Comcast upgraded the service to 500mbps down, and way faster upstream. However, this modem is not on the Comcast next gen modem list, so basically on the upstream you're limited to 4 carriers of SC-QAM at around 24mbps, instead of 100mbps. So much for future proofing, and very disappointing. Will be moving over to a Hitron CODA that can support > 100mbps upstream instead.

Worked the first time

I was having trouble with the modem/router from Xfinity so bought this to replace it. Easy set up, worked immediately, integrates flawlessly with my eero mesh WiFi system.

I guess it's about time..

So comcast upgraded my service level and said my modem couldn't handle the upgrade. So I guess it's time to upgrade my 7 year old Arris sb6141 that had worked flawlessly for the 7 years I had it. 8 channels down and 4 up, probably time anyway to upgrade to the new 32 down and 8 up specs. Noticed a difference right away. Probably won't wait so long next time. I expect flawless, trouble free service from my Arris again. Setup was a breeze too.

Excellent connection

We were having problems with our streaming cable box. Since replacing our SURFboard SB6193 with the SURFbioard SB8200 our TV has worked so much better. We see less of the "loading video" screen.

Seems to be working as expected

I am upgrading my old SB6121 from many moons ago bo SB8200. Performance seems to be improved. The activation was not as seamless as I had hoped. The cell phone app activation had an error so I had to contact XFINITY to complete the activation. not sure what the problem was. The unit has been on now several days and is fairly warm to the touch. I will be contacting Arris to verify this is normal behavior. I have yet to read the user guide and look at all the features and settings.
