Plugged and Played

Very simple setup with a wired backhaul. Did it while my son took his work from home lunch break. Wifi is solid throughout the house. Wired connections also solid.

ET8 2 Unit Mesh System

Awesome little mesh system. I didn’t expect any less from ASUS. I live in a 2,000 square foot home and this system covers my whole home perfectly. I paired them through a wireless backhaul and I haven’t lost any connection. I initially paired them through Ethernet cable just for the setup then I place the node in its final location where it paired with the main router wirelessly. This takes advantage of my full internet speed provided by my internet provider. So happy I went with this mesh system and I highly recommend. Was easy to set up through ASUS App and I set mine up by splitting up the 3 networks, 2.4ghz, 5ghz and 6ghz.

One sweet wifi router

Time to replace an older non ASUS wifi router. Looked as several routers and this model was perfect. Great user interface for new or seasoned users. Set up was super easy via the App. Super easy to connect router to node via ethernet if you care to use a wired option.

Excellent router, easy setup. Top of the line. Blazing fast WiFi and wired Internet. I actually get faster speeds than I pay for with this thing!!!

Fast, reliable, and attractive

This review is for the ZenWifi ET9 (same as AXE7800) 2-pack. This tri-band Wifi 6E was easy to install and downstairs coverage is great. I have two older ASUS dual-band wifi routers that I reset and added as AiMesh nodes. They extend wireless coverage to my detached garage and backyard. Now I can stream and listen to music while tinkering there without dropping the signal. I wish the ET9 had four ethernet ports on the back instead of just three. I had to sacrifice one of my four lines to wireless connection. My other option is to buy and use a gigabit switch to add back the hardwire line. I have always liked the ASUS wifi user interface more than its major competitors. It is great on my browser and on the mobile app. The throughput speed from my internet provider (Xfinity) is finally delivering my contracted download speed through my Motorola MB8611 DOCSIS 3.1 modem. With this system, I am also able to use the free Instant Guard VPN app from remote locations for secure browsing. This is new for me. I expect the same reliability in the ET9 routers as the earlier generation ASUS routers have given me.

Up and running

A little tricky getting both to work, but my son who I use for IT support was able to figure it out. It’s been running for a couple of weeks now without any problems. Speed is a lot faster than before

Wi-Fi to detached garage

I would lose internet in my detached garage. I connected 1 ZenWifi to my Comcast modem and the other went to the garage and now I am getting Crazy download speeds everywhere!
