Bought 49%u201D bench , 60%u201D table, 6 chairs and sideboard. Sturdy, very good finish. Solid wood. Delivery excellent. Service and buying experience-excellent. Price - exceptional! The whole set is on the smaller size, which is difficult to find at this quality. I also consider buying cushion bench pillow and glass top for the table. It is too beautiful to be under tablecloth.

Just had this table, chairs, bench, and sideboard set delivered today. Looks, feels, and functions perfectly. Fits our decor that is some rustic, some modern, some eclectic, some... I'm not sure!

So this set is really gorgeous in person- traditional yet interesting, and that is because of the grooves and the solid wood. So yes, it is more maintenance than other sets- cloth wiping/toothbrushing and furniture polish instead of the spray and wipe with a paper towel that most tables can withstand. And it will ding and scratch because it is solid wood, but I think that gives it character. I expect to have these for a long time. BTW, I bough the 4 chairs and bench, and I have a messy kid. And Macy's delivery was exceptional- they set everything up super fast.

This set is really cool and so much more stylish than smooth finish tables, in my opinion. We bought the table, two chairs, the bench, and the credenza, and have had them around six months. The finish does collect crumbs and spilled food, which doesn't happen that much unless you have kids. However, I do, and I just wipe the table using a wet cloth (don't use a sponge or paper towel - nothing that can break up) in the direction of the grooves and everything comes right out. We also eat on placemats that are easy to wipe down and that helps.

For me, after 2+ months, the Avondale dining set with credenza hasn’t been as good as I expected based on the glowing reviews here. First and foremost, the chairs aren’t as comfortable as we expected. After 10-15 minutes the chairs begin to feel uncomfortable on one’s posterior. Second, the person who gave the 1 star review about food getting stuck in the wire-brushed table is on to something, though our experience isn’t exactly the same. But it’s true that cleaning the table takes a little more work with this finish, and in particular, we’ve had crumbs fall into the small gaps where the legs meet the table. Third, the delivery was a disappointment. The delivery guys inexplicably did not fully remove the plastic from the chairs, which it turns out, isn’t that easy to remove because it appears to be put on to the seat cushion before it’s attached to the chair. So on the underside of the chairs, we now have a rim of plastic left over between the seat cushion and the frame. I also felt the phone call from Macy’s minutes after the delivery guys left to inquire about the delivery was an empty gesture – the guys JUST left, we haven’t even had a moment to really inspect the set or form an opinion on the service provided. My wife, who they spoke to, gave a good review but we hadn’t even realized yet that they didn’t remove the plastic, didn’t untape or set up the shelves in the credenza, and one of the handles of the credenza was loose! So overall, the product isn’t quite as comfortable and pleasing as we had hoped, and the “white glove” delivery service left a lot to be desired. For the price we paid, was expecting more.

This table is amazing. The size is perfect for those who cannot get the full 80" long table, it is sturdy and beautiful and the delivery service cannot be beat! It is an absolute stand out piece of furniture.

Love the table. Very sturdy and looks great. We got a set with two benches and two chairs. Sits 8 people comfortably. Unlike the other user, I have not had any issues cleaning the table. I use a damp microfiber cloth to clean the table. No issues with food getting stuck to the table. If you are considering it, don't hesitate - BUY
