Purchased this table a few months ago. The table has a beautiful color. When you add the leaf, things change. If you sit at the table and get up from dining and lean on the table, the table will lean to that side. With the leaf in place, it is not a sturdy table. Without the leaf, its a pretty nice table for the money. If you looking for a nice small table as an eat in table option great. If you want the option to seat more guest by adding the leaf. You will be disappointed.

Reason to reevaluate quality sold by Macys.

Horrible quality. Trim came unglued during assembly. Came with a warning that it is subject to warping if you get moisture in its grooves...and it's a kitchen table (REALLY?). Last piece of furniture I'll ever buy from Macys - and has led me to read reviews very carefully prior to purchasing anything else; very expensive lesson learned.

Solution to problem

Solid wood. Stand could be more sturdy. If you remove the wheel like metal piece with screw driver from underside of table, table will close completely into a round table.

Do Not Buy This Defective Table

Do not buy this table. I just had replacement table number 6 delivered and it has the same issue. It does not close completely when the leaf is removed. I bought this table in July of 2021 and it is almost May 1st 2022 and Macy’s can not seem to fix the problem. I asked that it be inspected BEFORE it was delivered- but they didn’t do it AGAIN. I expect better from Macy’s. Unfortunately I will never buy furniture from them again.

You’ll regret it!!!! Don’t buy!

This table has been a huge disappointment. It lacks any sturdiness for daily use and it’s definitely not a table you want if you have kids. I wish the negative reviews were available when we purchased it because I would have listened. You can get much better quality for the money you’d spend (and waste) on this table.

Don't Buy

Read all the reviews about having a gap when attempting to close without the center leaf. It is true; it won't close properly. I had the movers take it back someday. It's a defect.

Do Not Buy

I purchased the table at a Macy's Furniture Store and only wanted a round table for our kitchen. When the table was delivered it head a leaf in it, I asked that the leaf be removed during the home assembly process. Once the leaf was removed, the table would not come together and had a 2 inch gap. The installers could not fix the issues and brought the table back to the truck. I used to think Macy's sold quality products. It seems like they have gone down hill.
