Wasted space because Shelves unusable
Originally bought for my son, but because he cannot use, I recently moved to my house and set up. Love the buffet BUT we cannot get the shelves put in because we cannot get the shelf screws drilled into the shelf pin and shelf to hold shelves in place - not even with an electric DRILL. What kind of material are these shelves? Also, why are they unlevel? I want to use the reverse of the wine shelf side. Frustration galore. Help please.

Sturdy! Looks great in my kitchen - i made a coffee station on it with a lamp. I'll change it, too. Versatile :)

The great disappointment!!
This buffet would have been a great piece had the drawers and extension work. I exchanged the first one because both drawers & extension failed to function. To my dismay, the drawers on the replacement also would not open. Even the so called ‘white glove expert’ couldn’t get them to work. As a result, I refused the item and got a refund! I’m quite disappointed that Macy’s put its name to such poor craftsmanship!! However, Thumbs up! for Macy’s return policy!!
Glad I Ordered It!
Based on previous reviews I was concerned, so I went to the store to check it out in person. It is very solid, and has perfect dimensions for my dining room. I decided to take a chance and ordered it. The salesperson was fantastic, and delivery was very professional. Although the color definitely has a greenish hue to it, that works with my decor. It holds a lot, and I love this buffet!
Calling Manufacturer!
I can’t tell you how disappointed I am. The laminate on the buffet began to chip off within 2 weeks of buying it! I feel like I cannot put anything on it and I fear the same thing is going to happen to the matching dining table. I am hoping something can be done.
Disapointed
All items arrived damaged. Table and buffet. After waiting a month for delivery. Now waiting for redelivery. I will be inspecting very carefully this time. Macy’s should compensate me for inconvenience. Too expensive to have not been inspected before delivery.
Wrong Color- No match!
I ordered this piece to accompany the matching dining set and had to return it. It was not vintage white - instead a greenish tinge to a very dirty color. Sad after all the effort. Oh and white glove people did not wear booties while delivering and when I tried to refuse delivery they said there was no room on the truck. Quality seemed nice.
