Not the same
Sadly, these are not made the same way. I have an older pair of these sandals and absolutely love them. For some reason, they changed the toe strap material to something harder and it's now uncomfortable in-between the toes. They also seem to run a bit smaller. Not happy with the new sandals and going to return them.

This is my third pair of these sandals, and the ONLY ONES that I have found uncomfortable, from the straps to the rough insoles!!!
Great comfortable sandal
I love this sandal. I'm 71 yrs old and my balance is important. These sandals are supportive and stabilize my steps. I have to wear shoes even in the house and these are perfect. This is my 2nd purchase of this sandal.

Different material from past purchase
I bought 2 pairs of these sandals a couple of years ago. They were so comfortable; I wanted to get 2 more. Unfortunately, these new sandals have to be returned. The top of my toe hurt immediately. No give, no stretch as you take a step. Why would Baretraps change a great product?
they are hot causing your feet to sweat
This is a very nice sandal. They run small. My first purchase was a 9, but returned for a 9.5. The fit is much better with room for my heel to rest comfortably. Now that the weather in NYC is hotter than expected, I wore them several times, they are very comfortable, nice arch support but they are very hot. My feet are sweating from the material the inside cushion is made of. Even wearing them around the house is the same effect. I do like them but can’t return since I purchased them earlier in April. Socks are not even an alternative to wear since it’s a toe slide in. I have reservations now cause of creating a foot fungus I’m showing signs of Nice sandals but wear at your own discretion around the house first.

So comfortable and size is perfect. Lots of support and cushion . The toe strap is comfortable as well. I walk all day in these Baretrap sandals. They don’t disappoint. They’re like marshmallows hugging my feet.
