True to color. Doesn't feel new?

Rug is the exact color of the photos, which is great! Looks fantastic. Unfortunately I cannot get it to lay flat; I have purchased several rugs in my life, I know the backward folding, reverse rolling, heavy items to sit on top, etc. This rug is acting as if the fabric inside of the outer seam was scrunched together before the outer seam was stitched. Also, the rug doesn't feel new? I don't know if it's the pile height, the thread type, but it almost feels like it's been used and washed several times. The laying flat is my biggest concern though.

Beautiful Rug

Beautiful rug! So much prettier than I expected, so soft and plush. Unfortunately it’s a little too small for our space - ill be returning to buy the same rug in a bigger size
