Received damage item

One of the earrings is damaged. I contacted Macy’s who redirected me to the seller who then asked me to send the earrings back before they will give me a new pair. This is so disappointing because I don’t anticipate receiving damaged item and that I will need to do so much work in order to get a replacement or my money back. I am not capable of driving to a place where I can print a shipping label and then to drop off the item. This is so ridiculous.
