Long time customer, new to microfiber / Vegan
I’ve been a birks-only guy for nearly 25 years. Birkenstocks are extremely comfortable, have better arch support than any other footwear, including the rigid Rx supports from my pediatrist to relieve plantar fasciitis pain. I happen to like the way they look, but I’d wear them even if I didn’t, just to stop the crazy debilitating pain from Plantar fasciitis. This pair specifically, the beautiful INDIGO BLUE are my newest pair. And it’s also the first time I’ve bought Vegan footwear. Wasn’t sure what to expect really, I don’t care for their EVA products as in my experience owning and wearing-out 9 pair, they aren’t as durable as I’d expect from Birkenstock. With the newest Vegan Microfiber upper sandal, I can say absolutely that the microfiber is nothing like the EVA. It’s strong but soft, so much more comfortable than leather upper. No break-in, amazingly comfortable the first time I wore them. The footbed is microfiber too, but is indistinguishable for the orig leather. 10/10 ⭐️
