Not pleased with this Bissell
This is my 4th Bissell. As usual, this upright has great suction for carpets. Now the downside...1. the wheels are so tiny that you can't roll the upright over carpet, you have to pick it up. 2. the extension wand is way too short. I have to bend over to use it on my floor and it doesn't reach the ceiling. Why bother? 3. it is heavy and awkward. The slightest tug of the extension hose and the whole unit falls over. This is an updated version of the last Bissell that I had which was great...long extension hose, sturdy wheels, less cheap plastic. I'm not happy with it.
I would by this again!!!!
I love it. It maneuvers better than my old one, picks up great and is lighter without sacrificing cleaning power

I would buy this product again .
This is my second Bissell . The first one lasted five years. It easy o use and picks up the dirt plus I have two MaineCoon cats and it does great picking up their fur. I yould recomend the Bissell vacums . The do better than the other brands. Also I own a Bisssell steam cleaner for stains and when cats trowup hairballs. Great products keep up the good work. Love your products.

If you have pets in the house, then you need this sweeper.
We had just purchased "another" competitor's and it lasted three months. We purchased a Bissell 23 years ago and it's still "Bisselling." We noticed how much more power this new Bissell has. It is quieter. It brought up so much more pet hair that the "other" one. Has a wider sweep. Couldn't be more happy. Thanks for being there!

After 3 years, I would buy it all over again
I have used this vacuum for three years now, and hesitated writing a review before I really gave it the rest of time. Now I can say for sure that I would highly recommend this vacuum! The criteria I had was that it had to be powerful and not too noisy. It had to have a cord rewind option and it had to switch between floors and carpets. The customer service helped be when I was looking at the options. The representative suggested this model because of the Brush Roll On/Off Switch. The other models I was looking at didn't have it. That cinched the deal for me. I ordered that day. I love the powerful suction. It doesn't leave dirt or lint behind. I can see what it's picking up, which is always surprising. The cord rewind is awesome and the cleaning is easy. The sponge filter just washes out clean. I purchased another one so I wash one and put the dry one in the machine so it's ready to go. I didn't replace the carbon filter soon enough and the suction suffered. Once I replaced it, it ran like new! The crevice tool and Turbo brush for pet hair work great. We don't have pets, but I used the vacuum at a friend's house who had a cat and it worked so well!! I am confident that it is doing an amazing job on my furniture without pet hair. It's awkward on the stairs, but it does a great job. I have a handheld vacuum for in between times. The Cleanview 1319 is my favorite vacuum ever! I highly recommend it even after three years. It still works like new.

This vacuum does a great job!
I have an extremely hairy collie that likes to wallow in the dirt and he is an inside dog. This product tackles the hair,dust and carpet powder like no other and I recommend it, just keep the filter clean and empty the canister frequently.
My third Bissell..............just okay
This is my third Bissell. The vacuum is okay and I must say the suction on the carpet is very good. The problems are with the design: 1. The rear wheels are so small and flimsy plastic that I fear they will not last long. My last Bissell had bigger, more sturdy wheels. They are so small that when the machine is off and I try to push it forward on carpet the bottom of the unit drags on the floor making it immovable. 2. The way the hose comes out of the unit and plugs in to the base is awkward. The hose needs to be bent to wrap around the guide in such a way that I predict the hose will split before too long. The connection into the base does not snap in, you just shove it in as far as you can and hope for the best. 3. The "extender" wand is so short that I have to bend to use it to reach the floor. It definitely won't reach up into ceiling corners. My last Bissell had double extender wands where this one has only one....and it is too short. I'm not really happy with it but I will use it as best I can. The vacuum that I bought 5 years ago was pretty much the same model and it was awesome. I can't imagine why you would take a great product and make the design worse. I won't be buying another one.

Lifesaver
I just received this vacuum. It is amazing. I have a german shepherd in my house. Although he gets brushed almost daily, the amount of hair he sheds is unreal. I have gone through 2 vacuum cleaners. Based on reviews and I decided to give this one a try. It picked up so much hair. It has made life, or at least housekeeping an absolute dream. It was fairly easy to assemble as well.
