Upon first looking at the Blank Slate messenger bag by Solo New York it looks really nice. The black leather or faux leather like material looks nice. I like the texture and sheen. But for me I think the bag looks too big (length and height wise) when slung over the shoulder. The sides of the bag puffs out then sticks out past the flap closure. I would like a tighter look. The magnetic flap closure doesn't work for me. I'd love to throw the flap closed and have the magnetic button catch. I have to keep manually pushing the button in and it's not super easy to do when you are wearing it over a shoulder. I don't like the canvas handle at all. It doesn't feel substantial enough and bunches up when you are holding it by the handle. It's not a comfortable grip. Plus when you are carrying the messenger bag by the handle the entire bag leans forward due to the placement of the carrying handle. I think that the bag looks terrible when carried by the handle as the shape of the bag really contorts. So the shoulder strap is the best option to transport this bag.
Messenger Bag By Blank Slate
Great Messenger Bag with great storage compartments inside for you notebook, computer, cards and lots of other things to aid in your business and daily life. Well constructed and nice stitching and finishes.
Great Everyday Bag
This Messenger bag is on the feminine side; so I personally think it’s a great bag for a woman. It’s slim and easy to carry around on your shoulder. There are two internal pockets and can easily fit a laptop and ipad or a few smaller devices. The arm strap is comfortable. The quality of the bag is study and the design is stylish with all wardrobe choices. There is some detail on the leather flap it’s almost a brushed leather look vs a smooth polished leather. Overall a great everyday work bag.
Great Laptop Bag
This bag is perfect for my travel needs, it has plenty of room for my laptop, tablet and charging cables. Its also very durable.
The Messenger is ready to go
This messenger is a nice bag if you need something light and flexible to take to work or school. It is spacious inside and easily fits a 15" computer with multiple books, notepads, or items of clothing. As the material is soft and pliable, it is possible to overfill it should you need to! It has a standard strap with a shoulder pad and an adjustable starp which allows you to carry it diagonally across your body or on the side over the shoulder. Like most messenger bags, the strap is nylon and can be abrasive if the padding is not on the shoulder correctly. The material of the bag on the outside is a faux leather material and seems quite durable. It doesn't scratch easily and its color (a metallic gray to black) allows for unnoticeable scuffs. The color also makes it quite indistinguishable from other messenger bags so don't place it down in a library amongst similar bags or you may not find it! Overall, a good bag for its price and one that's durability and function should allow it to last a few years of daily wear.
Sleek and Professional
I really like the sleek, clean, simple look of the bag. The material is durable and high quality. However, I wish that it had a zipper pocket on the inside to put loose items such as pens, business cards, etc, which is why I gave it a 3 star rating. Great for traveling with a laptop and notebook!
Messenger bag
This back in the picture look like leather but isn’t, is la synthetic leather and look cheap material , also don’t have enough compartment
Nice looking messenger bag
Overview: I received this bag to review, and it looks and feels more professional than the laptop bag I had recently purchased for myself! I would use this bag in certain settings, but the lack of full protection for a laptop or tablet and the minimalistic interior limit its usefulness and versatility. Pros: - No logo on the front of this bag, which contributes towards a more professional look. - Shoulder strap is well padded. - Materials all feel well made and durable. - Overall look is sleek and classy (both outside and interior). Cons: - Laptop compartment has no zipper, can potentially spill drinks or get rain directly onto your laptop even with the cover folded over. - Laptop and tablet compartment padding is smooth, but does not feel thick or as protective as some other bags. - Simplistic interior may not be as practical (no pen sleeves, no zipper pockets, no zippers at all which I guess is part of the design).
