New design causes severe foot pain

I’ve been wearing Ghost shoes for well over a decade. I normally don’t even consider other shoes as these have always been beyond comfortable and have provided the support I need. The redesign for Ghost 17 is not good and I’m really disappointed. The material is hard and rigid, causing severe foot pain. The heel is way too high, rigid, and painfully squeezes and rubs my heel and the inside of my ankle. Sadly, I’m going to have to return.

new version updates are terrible

I have been wearing Ghosts for about a decade now and this new version was just too much of a change...in a bad way. The size is bigger which is weird, so my normal 10.5 was too big. And the top of the shoes hit the inside of my ankle bone in the worst way. It just came up too high. Had to return. Very uncomfortable overall.

Harder material/foot pain

I am so unhappy that I have to leave a negative review because for the past 10 years I have always worn Brooks and specifically the Ghost! These new Ghosts are designed so that you can just slide your feet in without having to untie/stretch them so what that means is the material being used is not as soft and "malleable" they are stiffer and are hurting mainly the sides of my feet all around and especially around the ankles!! I am now looking for an older one hoping a store somewhere still has the Ghost 16 being sold in my side somewhere.

Great shoes

They run big compared to my last pair of ghosts. I had gotten a size 10 for my last pair and I had to return these to get a size 9. I have only worn them for a short session of hill runs, but they were so comfortable. I can't wait to take them out for a longer run!

Style over comfort

I had bought a pair of Ghost Max 2 and absolutely love them! I assumed id love the Ghost 17 just as much, so I bought a pair. They're better looking than the GM2 but nowhere near as comfortable. I'll be getting another pair of GM2 when I can find them in my size.

Best Shoes Ever!

I have very bad feet and I have had 28 surgeries on my feet. My foot doctor recommended this shoe. I ordered them and fell in love with them, they are truly the absolute best shoes I have ever had! I already ordered another pair and I also ordered a pair of Adrenaline. I can't wait to get them. If you are thinking about ordering them DO IT! You will not regret it!!
