Bully (Fall Away Series #1) by Penelope Douglas

4.3 (7)
$18.00

New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Penelope Douglas delivers an unforgettable romance that toes the fine line between love and hate . My name is Tate. He doesn't call me that, though. He would never refer to me by a friendly nickname. No, he'll barely even speak to me. But he still won't leave me alone. We were best friends once. Then he turned on me and made it his mission to ruin my life. I was humiliated, shut out, and gossiped about all through high school. His pranks and rumors got worse as time wore on, and I made myself sick trying to stay out of his way. I even went away for a year just to avoid him. But I'm done hiding from him now, and there's no way I'll allow him to ruin another year. He might not have changed, but I have. It's time to fight back.

Powerful story

This is a wonderful story. The characters are very intense and intriguing. I really feel for the FMC. I want to shout with her. My heart was fully engaged in this story along with her. The plot was a really interesting one. The author did a really good job with the dynamics of the situation.

A great start to a phenomenal series

P doug does an amazing job in portraying love in the form of hate. I could physically feel the tension and passion through the pages. This book made me feel so many things.

Kept searching for more

I wanted to enjoy this book. To me it read like a bad fan fiction. Every time I thought I would get more depth/growth from a character I was left short.

COULD NOT PUT THIS BOOK DOWN!

This has to be one of my favorite books I've read, apart from the Shatter Me Series! This is such a binge-able book and I couldn't put it down!!

3 Stars | Bully

WHAT I LIKED: - big fan of the best friends > enemies > lovers trope - it was a really bingeable story WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE: - we are missing Jared's POV - his entire rational for his actions just didn't really add up (yes his backstory is horrible but I'm not convinced why he lashed out the way that he did) - we didn't actually get to see a lot of pranks that were pulled on Tate & were just told about them after the fact - the main female character has a very typical high school "every other girl is the enemy" kind of attitude which is pretty tiresome to read
