All That Glitters Ain’t Gold!
First of all, I really love Calvin Klein’s sheath dresses. So, I figured I would probably like slacks made by him as well. I paid attention to the color of these slacks while looking at them online, and I loved the fact that they were regular, straight-legged, high-waisted slacks - they sounded like the “classic” slacks for which I’d been looking. Also, I paid attention to the reviews which covered the color and fit of the slacks in person compared to online. Color was depicted as true to what was shown in the pics. However, there were some varying opinions about the fit, so I took all opinions into account and ordered a size 16 because “tight in the waist” was a common opinion. I’m a true size 14 and I like my pants long, so when everyone was saying the slacks were long, I thought I would be in heaven after I received them if I ordered a size 16 to account for the tight waist. I figured I would just take them up a bit if they were a little too big. Day of reckoning: the color of the pants were awesome-just as depicted in the pics. The pants were super long! No problem-I’d just hem them up. But, when I tried the pants on, they were terribly made!!! All of the alterations in the world wouldn’t have helped these pants. Buyer beware! They look awesome but they are NOT a good buy. The color and the length were the only good things about them. I definitely returned them and got my money back!!! Remember, you get what you pay for!

I. Love. These! They are wide leg, which is what I like, but not too wide. The color is beautiful and serving up fall all day long. I love a long pant because it looks so much more elegant than when they are looking short, so the length is on point. It allows you to wear heels but also flats if you prefer. The do run a bit small I must say. But that didn’t bother me because I adjusted accordingly. For reference, I almost exclusively buy Calvin Klein wide leg trousers and I normally wear a size 8. After reading other reviews, I went with a size 10 and I’m glad I did because they fit perfectly. The fit is exactly what I expected and the sizing is not off by some absurd amount. My only complaint is that when you find a pant that looks good, they usually come in just the one color. I wish these came in different colors. I would buy several.

What size am I, indeed?!
According to the online size chart, I'm an 18. According to reality inside the store, I'm a 10. I buy men's jeans, to get a 34 inseam. These pants hang like a 35 or 36; I haven't measured them yet. But all in all, the waist is perfect -- for an older woman 5'7," 148 lb.s. Size 18 well, uh --I dunno. But at least I have a beautiful pair of office/dressy pants which are my size and hooray, Long! I can't stand the shorter pants that make me look stupid. I'll be returning the one's I ordered online as soon as they show-up.
