Canon consistently fails to maintain drivers for MacOS
Canon consistently fails to maintain drivers for MacOS updates. Costing me hours of billable time each year figuring out how to work around.

Great scanner
I had the DR-C125 on my desk and absolutely loved it, but after 8 years of heavy use, it was getting a little worn out, so I chose this model. This one functions even better, scans documents so fast with great quality, but you can barely hear it. The Capture OnTouch software for this model is not as simple as it was for my older model, but after a little fiddling around a bit, you find that it is a bit more versatile. The only thing that irritates me is that the start button is not working. I liked that I could just load a document, hit that button, and it would start scanning right away, and I'm sure that it is meant to do that as well on this one, but it is not happening even after I set it up to a certain scan shortcut.

No Thick Papers please
Nice and compact, so travels well. It does not like thick paper- so my review is based on that. It jams and therefore you need to restart the entire process. It will not allow you to clear the jam and resend the papers post clearing the jam. It is also a little tricky to figure out how to work through where it saves the files. Working through these issues and hope I get better with time.

ITS OK BUT
THIS SCANNER IS OK IF YOU DON'T SCAN TOO MANY PAPERS AT ONE TIME. I WORK WITH MEDICAL RECORDS, I SOMETIMES GET RECORDS OVER AN INCH IN THICKNESS. THIS SCANNER REPLACED MY OLD SCANNER THE DR-6010C. THIS SCANNER IS NICE AND COMPATIBLE AND DOES NOT TAKE UP MUCH SPACE BUT IT DOES NOT BEAT THE SPEED AND PAPER CAPACITY OF THE OLD ONE. PLUS IT WOULD HELP IF IT INCLUDED A CATCH TRAY AT THE BOTTOM TO CATCH SCANNED PAPER INSTEAD OF PUSHING IT TOWARDS YOU. THERE IS THE OPTION TO CATCH IT ON TOP BUT, IN MY JOB, I AM CONSTANTLY FEEDING IN PAPER TO SCAN. SO THE TOP EXIT CHOICE IS NOT VERY IDEAL. LIKE I SAID, ITS OK BUT...

Two thumbs up for the DR-C225 II
Had a Canon Scanner DR 2510 for 10+ years and used it daily scanning in medical documents to email to patients. Upgraded to the DR-C225 II and works just like my old scanner, but even better. The accompanying software works very well and is more than adequate for my scanning needs. DR-C225 II highly recommended!!!

Great scanner - easy to use
We bought a bunch of these scanners for each of our desks at the office and use them daily. They are very simple to use from scanning into a file to integrating with our client portal. It is very compact so doesn't take up too much room. You can put a stack of papers of various sizes in it very easily and it will scan both sides of the paper. The only issue that we have is that it doesn't like if you have something taped to a page. We often have post its taped to what we are scanning and no matter how good you tape it, it causes an error and you wind up having to make a copy of that page in order to get it to scan. Other than that, we love them.
