Excellent product for the money, but pro not quite worth it.

I'm content with the product overall, I purchased it for my wife to aid in her medical condition. Up and down motions of the head and feet are smooth and and not too-loud. I was also pleasantly surprised that there is a 9v batter backup for the main controller so you can lower the bed in the event of a power outage - that was not advertised on the site. There are a couple of caveats. I purchased the middle-tier version of the bed - the pro model - for the added USB ports and massage functionality. I'm somewhat disappointed with both, or at least, they weren't worth the additional $300 over the lower-tier model of the bed. Paired with a casper mattress, the massage function does little more than vibrate the bed. Both massage motors (one at the body, the other at the feet) don't really send enough motion through the bed to your muscles to be therapeutic. Additionally, the USB ports, while it is handy to have two ports on either side of the bed, the ports are USB-A (which yes, it currently more universal, but still a waning technology), and they are 5v 1.5amp. They are not capable of smart-charging and most phones will operate at slow-charge speeds. If I purchase this product again (and I probably will), I will purchase the lower-tier model.
