Catskill Low Profile Slab Professional Grade End-Grain Cutting Board
Product details
Web ID: 164926Solid cutting board - love it!
This is a great cutting board that feels solid and works great. It is a very heavy board which I like and stays in place on my granite without a wet towel underneath (that a simple tip to keep the board in place). I have had this for about three months and returned a Boos board (which came damaged from another store) to get this one. You have to oil and was the board regularly to take proper care of it. This is a must!
OIL, OIL, OIL- but a year later, it's still amazin
Oil this very good prior to use. I bought two last Christmas, one for my daughter, the other I kept. I love the look of this block. I will purchase the round for next to my range. You must condition it, read the steps and oil for a few days prior to use. I have boos block and like this better!!
It will split no mater what
Beautiful, but Split after 3 months ... I use butcher block graded mineral oil and a butcher block conditioner creme... at schedule times ....high quality stuff oils.... and it still split..... do not buy ....
I love it
I have no regrets about this purchase. I will recommend this item to everyone.
Horribly made
This product split after 1 or 2 use of cutting nothing but vegetable with no chopping.
Do Not Buy
Disappointed with the board it did not even last a year with proper care. Macy's was able to replace the item, I returned the damaged one and they were to send a replacement. Replacement never arrived and I just gave up requested my money back. Disappointed with both!
DO NOT BUY
The board completely fell apart within days of buying it. It literally disintegrated after I ran some water through it after the first use. I don't recommend if you want to use it. But if you want it to just sit on your countertop and look pretty, then it might be worth it. But I don't anticipate anyone getting much use from it.
Oil Every Day For A Week Before Using
oil this beast every day for 1 week before using and then upkeep after that and you will not have the problems others are writing about (splitting, warping, etc).
