Coolness of cotton is a win. Great price too.
I had just purchased a down comforter that I mostly wanted to protect it from my dog who pretty much hangs out on my bed most of the day. I had a linen cover but felt it was too heavy and a pain to wash. So I began looking for cotton. I've had good luck with Macy's charter sheets and found this percale cover that included the sheet set and pillow cases for a great price! Right out of the wrap I loved the feel and immediately put it on. It was perfect. I live in Hawaii where the nights are cool and I love the cotton as opposed to linen. I haven't washed it yet so hoping it washes up nicely and not full of wrinkles. Happy with the purchase and delivery was quick.

This is a beautiful set, and the price was truly a bargain; However, it came with the caveat that there would be no returns. The minute I opened the box, the smell was like a living beast. I suspect that these may have been in a warehouse that was affected by one of the hurricanes last fall. The mildewy smell was so bad I had to get everything quickly unpacked and the packaging out of the house. The linens went immediately into the washer. Unfortunately, it’s the third soak/wash and the smell still permeates. I’m trying vinegar, Gain, lysol, and perhaps a flame-thrower. I’m open to suggestions, but I’m not sure I would even donate these to Goodwill. Why would I do that to somebody? Anyway, thanks for the deal, Macy’s, but you can keep the smell.

Items came in a sealed box yet the pillowcase and sheets were stained

Wowww! I was not expecting this to be so soft. I got it on sale but I would have paid full price because of the amazing quality. This is similar to what hotels have. If you are looking for something soft, cool, and doesn’t make you sweat at night , get this!
