I bought the 28 inch to go in my 26 inch shams. I like my Euro pillows to be firm and full. The pillow was flat and limp even though the pillows were bigger than the shams.

Not bad yet low loft

The zippered cotton cover is very nice, but the interior insert is quite cheaply made and it is very flat. It will puff up a bit upon shaking, tossing, and airing overnight, but it is not a substantial insert. My high end sofa cover was 20x20x1 inches and this pillow doesn't fill it out completely. Possibly sizing up to 22x22 would have been better. I also bought the 24x24 for a 26x26 cover and I would have been better off getting the 28x28 due to the low loft. Still I'm keeping them as I got them on a great sale and I couldn't find anything else that was better.
