Honest Review

Excellent value - this is what comes to mind. The length, cut, comfort at this price is excellent. I have a pair of shorts from another brand that somehow someway may be just a bit better in terms of length/cut, but they cost twice as much … I also have a pair of swim trunks from chubbies - these too are great length, color scheme, value. Conclusion: Chubbies is now my go-to for all things shorts.

Nice elastic waist without the drawstring

Nice everyday short……. Length is perfect. Love that there is not a drawstring. Would prefer lighter shades such as their swimwear and a more narrow leg ……

Good shorts. Sizing off.

The shorts are nicely made, but too big. I bought XL, following the “body measurements” direction on the Chubbies site. They were a bit big when I got them. I messed up and washed them thinking they might shrink a bit and can’t return them. Now, after a few wears, they’ll fall down if I have my phone’s weight in the pocket. Just know they run big if you follow the size chart and you’ll be good.

Not as good as they were.

My original ones were made in the USA. I was disappointed to see my new ones were made in Vietnam. As with all import replacements the price has stayed the same and the fit and quality is worse. The original ones were of a lighter weight material much more suitable for the summer. The elastic waist also seemed not as strong. However I very much like the combination of flat front, elastic waist and belt loops which is fairly unusual.
