Pretty dress

I purchased this dress to wear to a wedding and i absolutely loved it. I felt really nice in it as well as comfortable. I also liked just the hint of lace that it showed. The only issue was that I had a hard time getting it on when i put it over my head the whole dress bunched up and twisted itself and i had a hard time pulling it down. The side zipper was not useful. After a struggle i was satisfied with how it looked. Got lots of compliments.

Lovely dress!

I bought this for my daughter as a birthday gift. It fits her nicely, flows nicely and made her feel very pretty when she wore it to her birthday dinner that night!

Not quite what I had hoped

I was looking for a light, flowy feminine dress for a semi-formal/formal gathering and was disappointed that this did not work for me. I own a few City Chic dresses in size 14W, like them very much, and found them to fit nicely (and maybe even a little loose on me). At my 5'5', 160 lbs, (bust 40.5" or 38DDD, waist 34.5", hips 43") this dress was too tight. The lining/slip is VERY fitted and was snug on my hips. Even the empire waist band was a little on the tight side (side zipper). I could have tried a larger size, but the dress looked and felt dowdy and heavy. I think maybe the combination of sleeve length (a bit long), dress length (a bit long), heavy fitted slip, and black color made it a little depressing for me. Concept is great, but in practice I think a bit of a miss. If slip flowed like overskirt might have tried larger size. FYI v-neck is deep, so plan on wearing a camesol.

Love....This...Dress!!

I'm not a dress girl but I want to be so bad. lol I bought this dress for a wedding coming up and I, for the first time in my life, am looking forward to wearing this dress. It fits my curvy body perfect. I am 5'10 and 200 plus. I am very hippy and that is where most of my weight is. This dress makes me feel pretty. The skirt part underneath is sort of a body con type skirt with a nice little peek of lace. The black sheer material covers all problem areas. I'm 5'10 and this dress hits right above my knee. I ordered the size 16 (S) I will be buying more City Chic dresses!
