Cliffs by White Mountain

Love the boots. They look just as pictured and are very comfortable. All that good stuff said, they squeak like crazy. They’re not cheap boots but they sound like they are. I need to run them with linseed oil but had not expected that would be necessary.

Squeaky, Creaky!

Squeaky! These are super cute boots, that are vegan friendly. But they creak and squeak when I walk. It’s loud enough that others can hear it, too. Not returning-the return fee doesn’t make it worthwhile. Will wear them to loud events.

trouble shooting

As for the squeak, I have tried many things. I read that maybe baby powder would work, but I don’t have that, so I tried dry shampoo on the tongue of the shoe. T hat worked for about five minutes. I also tried other powders with no success. Now I’m taking the nail file that I file my dog’s nails with and rubbing it in between the tongue and the shoe to try to soften the coating on the show. It’s possible this will have some lasting effect. Good luck out there if you buy these boots! I wish I had read the reviews.

Squeaky boots

Love the comfort of the boot but they make so much noise. I have never worn a boot that squeaks so loud.

Super narrow, long, tight on top & chemical odor.

So slim that I could not get my normal Size 8 foot into them at all. Please make comfortable shoes for Americans, with rounded toes. These look like CANAL BOATS!
