Great bed frame

Great quality wood frame! Color is beautiful snd it is very sturdy! Beware if you are using a box spring you will need a stool to get into the bed it makes it very high!

Perfect For Me

I added this bed to match my dressers & it is great. Macy's white glove treatment was fantastic. They brought it upstairs set it up & it looks, feels great!

Horrible Matetial

The wire brush finish does not allow for easy cleaning. The dust cloth gets stuck on the wood & leaves debris. Can’t even run your hand on the wood without getting a splinter

Never purchase Furniture at Macy's again.

I never write reviews but I am so disappointed that I felt I need to. The Avondale Platform bed felt apart in less than a year. In addition, it hard to sleep for the sounds that bed is making. White Glove Delivery service was paid but still did not work. Do not waste your money on this. I wish I could give this product a "0."

Sturdy!

I've had this bed for about 3 years now. It's been moved twice. Still as good as new! Only downfall is be careful if you are a Mrs. Doubtfire vacuum-er like me! I've chipped the base a few times. Nice sturdy wood frame!

Weak slats

Same problem as some others- the slats that support the bed are not adequate under normal usage (one person, less than 150 lbs). I've had the bed less than a year. One slat has cracked completely. Some are bending and some day will crack. At least 2 have come separated from the straps. Macys customer service is helping me with the warranty and has been really helpful so far- no complaints about Macy's customer service- I'm hoping they can help me with it.
