LOVE this sectional

This is a QUALITY sectional. We purchased several years ago and it is durable, comfortable and a fantastic deal for the money. We have company over and everyone can sit at the same time and not feel crowded. If there are any bad reviews, I can't imagine why except they must have gotten a defective one.

I really liked the look of this sectional. It was sleek and modern without being bulky like so many others. We had it in our home for almost 2 weeks. 2 pieces were delivered broken - a relining arm didn't work, and another had a broken board underneath. Macy's was great and would replace - no problem. However, after using only a few days, we noticed that the seats sank down really far when you would sit. We also realized that other reviewers were right - you can feel the support board at the bottom of your back - and we aren't heavy people at all - 130 to 180 pounds. Then another recliner stopped working. The Julius definitely has design problems. I don't think it should be sold at all - the board at your lumbar is ridiculous. I can't believe they would make something like that. The model in the store was better, so try it closely. I believe you will feel the board easily, but if not - sit up straight and recline a bit, reach your hand behind your back. Macy's was great about returning the Julius without any hassle. We purchased the Caruso instead. We love the Caruso! They are both made by Natuzzi, but the feel is very different - Caruso doesn't sink when you sit on it and although the board is there, you don't notice it whatsoever. There is plenty of cushion on the seat back, you really have to go looking for the board on the Caruso to find it, whereas on Julius its painfully obvious. Don't waste your time on the Julius. The Caruso is SO MUCH better made and although it wasn't my first choice - I like the look and feel better and LOVE the modern gray color! Also, look under neath the recliners. The Julius seat is supported by cloth straps, whereas the Caruso is supported by metal. The reclining mechanism is different also. The Caruso mechanism is so much smoother! These details are difficult to observe in the store if you aren't looking for them - as we weren't when we purchased the Julius the first time. The other reclining sectionals we tried didn't seem to have the problem with the board in the lumbar either - only Julius.
