Beautiful and elegant

This is a beautiful and elegant wool rug with a nice, well sewn cotton backing. We added the non skid pad and are very pleased. Our rug did not shed until our automatic robo vac got on it. I read all the reviews before purchasing and knew the shedding was due to strong suction vacuums. Wool carpets are not created for wiping muddy feet but rather to cover beautiful wood floors in the winter months. A small carpet sweeper twice a week is all this should need. Make your friends take their shoes off at the door and teach your pets to stay off the rug.

Disappointed

Maybe I'm just unlucky but the rug I received is cheaply made. The threads can be pulled out like an old chenille bedspread. When I vacuum, I have to empty out the canister twice for a 5' x 8' rug because of all the lint that accumulates. I have owned this rug for 3 months and the lint just keeps on coming. Really! I own a Shark NV752 model vacuum. I will never purchase or recommend this rug. I kept the rug because returning such an item is just too much trouble.

We are so sorry that you are disappointed with the amount of shedding. Hopefully the shedding has dissipated by now- if it is still shedding, we recommend changing the setting on your vacuum to the hardwood floor option-- some high quality vacuums can be too strong for wool rugs, and are better suited for wall-to-wall carpeting. I ordered this rug for my mother, she loved it. The color is closer to red than maroon, but still very nice.

Home Majesty Aubusson Runner

I bought the cream color in a runner--2.6'x 8' --and have been using it for over a month, with all good things to report. New wool does shed, but I just run the vacuum over it every other day or so, and do not see fuzz any where.There was no odor when I unwrapped it and my dogs walk all over it without any soiling or ill effects. They also love to sleep on it, as it so deep and soft. The price is amazing, the quality high, and the colors and design are lovely. I am also impressed with the sturdy backing. I would be more inclined to call the color gold with cream and mocha accents with a touch of burgundy and olive green. I would like to buy matching area rugs in a complimenting color, but that is still a few paychecks away!

Beautiful Rug

For the price, this is a beautiful well put together rug. Yes - just like what others say, there is little fuzzies that come out but it is no where near crazy and you cannot notice on the rug. It did not have a funky smell when it delivered, and yes I have had this problem before with rugs so that is a plus. My little doggie loved it right away and tried rubbing her smells on it. It is definitely recommended!
