The wood color is fine, but the seats are NOT what they appear to be online, which is a light beige. The fabric is much closer to a grayish taupe, and was not at all what I wanted. Hope I can get used to it. My colors throughout our home are predominantly creams, rusts, rich browns. The table appears too small for the very open space it's in, but that's not the fault of the set. I should have waited until I could find a 60" round. The White Glove delivery service was outstanding, no complaints there! It was just delivered today, so of course I cannot speak to endurance --- some reviews note the issue with liquids and how spills can ruin the veneer, so I know to be extra careful about that. Holding out hope for a good experience with the set, over time!
Color isn't exact, but excellent table
I've looked everywhere for a table like this to replace a very large one that seated 10-12. It's small enough for 4, and the 24" leaf allows us to still have a comfortable setting when we have guests. I was thrilled with the delivery. They were there when they said they'd be and were quick and professional. The table was exactly as described; except for the color. I was hoping for more of a caramel color to go with the chairs from my previous set. This table is a little more on the brown side than it is a caramel. But, I'm getting used to it. I've read the care instructions and noticed that you do have to be careful not to get liquid in the channels. It doesn't wobble and the style of the base makes it very sturdy. So far, so good!
Warning**
Gorgeous table and loved it, perfect with the leaf to add extra room when needed. But had water splashed on it and cleaned it up immediately, at the time didn’t realize it must have been in the cracks more than I thought. And it got horrible bubbles from being a veneer top, with the quality of this table they shouldn’t have foresaked the most important aspect. If it can’t handle a few splashes of water in 6 months, makes me nervous to see what it will look like in a few years, as I originally planned on using it for years. Will make me rethink before buying expensive sets at Macy’s.
Table Wobbles
After purchasing my new Mandara dining room set, I was disappointed to learn that both table base & chairs are not leveled. The chairs are missing levers. Upon reporting this to Macy’s, their delivery vendors basically returned to my home to not fixed the problem, but complained that this set is poorly constructed and others had the same issues. This dining room set is not exactly worth the price that Macy’s is charging.
Absolutely Stunning Dining Room Set
I am 100% satisfied with this table and 4 chairs. It is the most beautiful set I have ever see. It was delivered a couple of days ago and it looks stunning in my dining room. The table had to be put together as it came with the base and table top in two separate packages, but the delivery men took care of the set-up very quickly. The wood is a gorgeous color and the quality of the table and chairs are excellent. The chairs are comfortable, the quality of the fabric is awesome and they have a wide seat. I understand that this set is a very popular sell item for Macy's and I can certainly understand why.
