I’ve had this set for a year and it doesn’t show any damage. I left it outside with out covers through out the winter and it is holding up great. I love the sleek design and comfortable cushions.

Don't buy any of this series (Marlough II) if you intent to leave these "outdoor" pieces outside. The manufacturer, Patio Master may have created these special for Macy's but they should make big improvements on them to qualify as a Macy's product. The manufacturer's 7 year warranty (on the frame) sounds really great. However, when you read the warranty summary information it specifically states, "Damage to frames or welds resulting from improper assembly or EXPOSURE TO to WATER AND/OR SUB-FREEZING TEMPERATURES IS NOT COVERED. Now, how would you control exposure to water and/or sub-freezing temperatures (below 32 degrees F)? According to Macy's and the manufacturer, you have to move the furniture inside when it gets cold outside, and keep it covered when it rains. So why is this furniture classified as outdoor? Apparently, because the frame is solid, changes in temperature can cause condensation inside the frame which then freezes and can deform the frame which voids the "warranty".

So far we are very pleased with this set. Weathered first rain storm with no water spotting or staining - but will buy a cover to preserve. Very happy with the quality. Chairs are very comfortable with or without cushions, but really happy with the cushion quality as well. Beautiful set!
The set is not living up to my expectations!
In the show room this was by far the most comfortable chairs my husband and I found. The set looked attractive and of good sturdy quality. I purchased this 7 pc. dining set. Upon 6/9 delivery I discovered 2 of the chairs have imperfections in the powder coating. Macy's agreed to replace both chairs. They must be on a slow boat from China for not scheduled to arrive until 7/29. I have been using the set in the meantime. Found that the table water spots just as bad if not worse than a glass table. And proves to be harder to wipe down. Additionally found that if someone sits in the chairs with suntan lotion on their back it stains/marks up the power coated chair backs. I have not been able to get the oil spotting to go away. Unfortunately I am disappointed in this dining set. Looks nice but choose a set made out of a different material.
