Grandma seeking dress for wedding

According to size chart it said to order 24W. I ordered a 22W and it was still to large and long. I may have been able to go with a 18W. The dress is very stretchy and unstructured. I ended up choosing another Connected sheath dress. The dress is beautiful and I probably would have kept it if it had fit better. For reference I am 5'3"
