The classic is dead. An era has ended.

Classic all stars are excellent. Worn dozens for 49 years. Bought 2 new pair yesterday and they have been updated, and not in a good way. The interior is no longer cotton, but some poly mesh, and the insole if a thin removable wafer that does not give any support. The laces are shorter and the sergerd edges are done in a poly thread instead of cotton. These do not breathe. The weight and feel is gone. The classic All-Stars, Chuck Taylors, and others are not what they have always been. The quality has been sacrificed for cost savings in production. 40 years and likely over 100 pairs, I have worn and worn out. And I returned them today. Do not buy them.

TIMELESS

Been wearing Chucks since 70's--my first "gym" shoe in Jr Hi! I have white, black and just purchased red. Love the red! Fit is great and look is better. Loved them at 12, love them more at 62. I wear them at gym on leg day and out on dates with my wife. Timeless shoe....

A classic in my favorite color!

Color is perfect. Style is classic. And, the added inserts help immensely with my aging feet! I love that it’s an option since I’ve always had a high arch and need support.

Comfortable and look great, apart from.

Love my classic white chucks apart from wearing them for the first time on vacation to the Bahamas! On the plane over and whilst wearing them there the glue sat the shell toe on both shoes has leaked onto the canvas! I now have an orange stain on both shoes, not very happy about this at all. Probably not much Converse will do about it! So if you live in or visit a humid environment be aware that this will happen.

I am a repeat customer since the decline and fall of Topsiders blue and red boat sneakers in the early 1990s to middle 1990s. They were surfer sneakers in the 1960s and 1970s; Vans were the "knock-offs" and are still selling with the skateboarding crowd,
