Materials Matter

The aesthetics of the shoe are what drew me to purchase these shoes. However, the satin material used for the lining was a poor design choice. Particularly the decision to line the interior side of the tongue with it. I prefer a tight lacing whenever I wear my Chucks, even with a tight lace up the tongue slides and ends up tucked underneath my foot. There is no resistance from the material against my socks. I walked around the house getting ready for work when I started to notice the discomfort. I could not believe how much of my sock was exposed. I thought I fixed the issue when halfway through my walk towards the train station the discomfort came back and was getting worse with every step. Almost missed the train with having to stop here and there to readjust the tongue. Awesome looking, but be prepared to suffer for fashion.
