No flexibility too tight won't lay flat

I was looking forward to wearing this necklace. When it arrived, I could tell immediately that it was wired too tightly. There is NO flexibility the entire back end stood straight up, meaning the necklace won't lay flat at the back. It's a shame. I'd suggest the manufacturer loosen the backing enough to provide some flexibility.
