On the cheaper side

Puchased this to replace the same exact Cuisinart toaster that i had for 15 years. As with many products, the quality has gone done. It is not as sturdy, the lever has no resistance whatsoever so you wind up slamming it down to make your toast. Honestly, I'm keeping it even though it really doesnt toast evenly because everything made lately is pretty flimsy.

Perfect toaster

ICuissinart 2 piece metal classic toaster is the perfect size toaster. Size is just right, easy to use controls. Nice pull out bottom tray to catch crumbs. Attractive well thought out product.

Quality?

I bought this to replace the exact same toaster that was 15 years old. Definitely not the same quality. much more tinny and the bread &/or bagel does not toast evenly. Keeping it but resigned to the fact that everything is made cheaper regardless of something you may have purchased ten years or so ago.

Toasts evenly and satisfactorily

This toaster meets our needs. Toasts evenly. I like the simple basic features. The dial to select the doneness has to be set at the maximum setting to get the results we like. Sometimes, I repeat the toasting cycle to achieve the doneness we like. I need to use tongs to get the toast out.
