Cuisinart Toaster CPT-160P1
Thru trial and tribulation, the CPT-160 toaster is not meant for toasting single pieces of bread. Unfortunately, the replacement for my original purchase was the same model with the same problems!? Only one side gets toasted and isn't uniform. Either the corners are untoasted or it's toasted in the middle of the bread. I'm sure toasting two slices of bread will have the same results, as I've switched slots... to no avail.

Quality is not there and more
So disappointed in this Cuisinart - I decided to get a very well known name product and expected excellence but this expensive toaster feels cheap - I would have been better getting one from a charity shop. The dial knob is VERY loose so the toast never comes out the same and I need to pop it down numerous times, this is not a simple task because it does not pop up easily. There is a strange smell sometimes and I question the safety. How does a company so well known produce a product like this and sell it for such a high price. VERY DISAPPOINTED IN CUISINART.

A toaster has one job
I am disappointed with the two slice toaster. Cuisinart brand has had a certain reputation for better quality products. I have used an Cuisinart electric kettle for years and love it. When our old toaster quit working I read reviews on different brands and ultimately decided to try this classic two slice toaster. It has one job, to toast. Setting it on 5 and putting it through the cycle twice just to get tanned bread is frustrating. I decided to try using the bagel setting for sliced bread as it would be in there a little longer and it still wasn’t right. At a 5 setting the bread should be dark! My old toaster setting at three was perfect. Please work on your design flaws. A toaster should be simple and do its one job. Please raise the bar once again and sell reliable products like you used to.
