Well-made but can be tedious

The toaster has a wide array of functionality but that is a blessing and a curse. It is tedious to switch from one function/setting to another. It does look beautiful and is well-made. It toasts bread, waffles, and bagels well without burning, but can under-cook if not lowered twice.

Awesome toaster. Every slice is consistent.

Over the years I have found one brand that is consistent with quality and that brand is Cuisinart. I had purchased a Cuisinart toaster several years back. The browning is always even. The dial on the front had started to give me trouble though. It still works fine but is is so sensitive and is easily moved. That prompted the purchase of the motorized toaster. It's really a joy because there are no moving parts for the browning control. Every slice is consistent. The eight memories to store your favorite toasted item is also a plus. Now there is no micromanaging the browning control. Just pick a memory and it's done. This has caused a lot less stress at toasting time and more time to enjoy my coffee.

Great toaster, easy to use with lots of options. We use it often and always get what we want.

Quick Heating, quality to be determined...

Have owned the toaster for a few weeks and one side is already malfunctioning. When pressing the toaster to toast the lever lowers and a timer is set, but the heating elements do not heat up. After unplugging and cleaning the slots it seems to work again, not what I would expect. The other issue I have experienced is that there is no option to raise levers to remove a shorter piece of bread. I am hoping that the electronics and mechanicals last a few years with everyday use. One the positive side this does heat up fast when working. This was the factor that swayed me to the toaster over another brand.

Smart toaster does the job

This toaster does a nice job with different kinds of bread products. There are lots of choices in the settings, so it takes some time to get used to it. My only complaint is that some brands of bread have slices too big for the slots.

Great upgrade from the older model

I bought this to replace my older motorized model where the displays were going bad because of electrical spikes and brownouts cause by hurricane Milton. I like the redesigned control panel. The older model's panel's buttons were labeled with printing inked on the face. Over time these wore off and I had to use label tape to identify the defrost, bagel, and reheat buttons. This newer model uses a plastic plate with back lighting. Easy to clean, and the labeling is easily readable (see photo). I had watched sever Youtube reviews where they stated the toasting was center-weighted. I did not find that to be the case. Everything I toasted was very evenly toasted. Careful with the "toast shade" settings. I was so used to using the "7" setting on the old one for my white toast I set that for my first set of toast. This guy can toast! I burned it. Black as cinder. The default setting is "4", and it is more than sufficient to get your toast evenly golden brown. With bagels I found that a setting of "5" was perfect. I do have two observations I think Cuisinart should address. The first is how to set the memory positions. The manual doesn't explain anything on how to enter and save a setting for one of the 4 positions. It took me a few attempts to figure it out. The second is the display. If you're only using one side of the toaster, why turn on both sides. This is new with this model as the older one only turned on the side you were using. I know, a small point, but something I noticed. All in all I love this toaster. I think it was a great buy to replace my older model. I would certainly recommend it to other customers.

Happy with our choice of this toaster. Have had many issues with the manual controls.

Simple to use, and everything works as advertised. The top setting of 7 will toast an English Muffin crispy, but the additional 30-second option can top it off. The defrost and toast work well for Waffles or Eggos. The Bagel setting is perfect. I've had it a couple of weeks now, and hopefully I can get a few years out of it. I'm throwing out the old toaster now.
