Beauty at First Glance

Gorgeous color, nice weight, perfect size and classic style. Unfortunately attention to finish details is lacking. Eleven (!) chips/flaws marred the rim of my first casserole. Replacement pot was still flawed, but not so obviously, so I'm keeping it since I love the look. Use and care guide instructs hand wash only - like a previous reviewer, I've always put my Dansk enamelware in the dishwasher - this piece too.

Dansk Kobenstyle Dutch Oven(6 qt.)..Wow.

This wonderful red pot lives up to all the hype you've ever read about it. I've wanted it for decades..having gotten a matching pitcher long ago....l960s... that's how long I've wanted this pot. 'Wonderfully even heating-- and delicious first stew! No disappointments. Big family..though...the 4 qt. may be too small..'saving it. The 6 qt. is great for us! AND, the Macy's Price cannot be beaten!!!!! Thanks Macy's. P.S. It's a classic. 'Love the styling..too! ('Fresh & clean- looking).

OK but not as good as the original

A pretty good copy but not the same quality as the original (I have two). Color red is also not as bright. Instructions indicate casserole in not dishwasher safe. I have always put my other ones in the dishwasher, and this one went in, too, and seems to have survived.
