Arrived with a terribly twisted chain!

Overall, this small diamond heart charm is Beautiful, that I had ordered from Macy’s on sale. However the packing was a cardboard box with a loose velvet pouch just thrown inside of the box without a sealed plastic pouch or receipt/invoice. Sloppy packaging by Macy’s warehouse. When I took the necklace out of the pouch I found the necklace just thrown in the bag loose, on a ultra-thin chain that was so utterly twisted in knots that after a couple hours of trying to untangle it, instead the chain broke off in a few places. Now I won’t be able to exchange it. I probably shouldn’t have tried to repair it myself but the problem is I’m 70 & don’t drive, so I was stuck with this. I’ve never had a horrible delivery with an expensive item I order from Macy’s before, so I was overwhelmed by the sloppiness my order was handled. This necklace was a gift to myself since my husband passed 9 months ago. But instead of bringing me Joy, it brought Despair.

Arrived Tangled!

I hesitated to write this review because the heart charm itself was quite beautiful. But it came in a shipping box without being in a bag of some sort, just a small loose velvet pouch with the necklace all knotted and twisted up inside the pouch, without even an invoice or receipt. Nothing! I was trying to untangle it for hours before I thought I had it but the chain broke in a few places. This was heartbreaking, now I wouldn’t be able to return it. I had purchased this for myself to try to bring a bit of Joy back in my life since my husband passed away 9 months ago from 3 terminal stage 4 cancers but now it only brought frustration and unhappiness.

NOTHING LIKE PHOTOS

In the photo I appears that it has diamonds surrounding the heart. NOT EVEN CLOSE. I had to take a photo and zoom to see what they refer to as diamonds.,I would call it diamond dust! Nothing larger than a fine ultra point pen and very few of them! Maybe compare to glitter! I don’t think it’s worth the $39 and CERTAINLY not the $200z the chain came in knots. No getting them out. The chain is so fragile it can hold knots tighter than thread! It also keeps getting caught up in the track underneath the charm. 100.% this chain will knit up. It’s a matter of time and not much. You can’t be careful enough. It’s just destined! JUST BE SURE TO CLOSELY EXAMINE THE PHOTO. It’s a pretty design but don’t make it look like a “diamond heart” in the photo. I DO JOT RECOMMEND!! Especially for children or teenagers.
