Too Big and Shaft Too Wide
Beautiful boots but wide shaft is far too wide for my 15.5 inch calves. If your calves are in that range I would skip these. They stretchy part stands away from the calf in a very strange baggy way. Not attractive. The foot portion runs large as well. 8 fits more like 8.5.
Not burgundy...more like purple
I agree with the other reviews, the boots are for a wider ankle. But i was more thrown off by the color. It looked more like purple to me, less like burgundy. Had to return.
Beautiful and Comfortable
These boots are nicer than I thought they would be. They look amazing on! I was also very surprised at how comfortable they are! Love them!
Cute Boots BUT...
I purchased this last year and it's beautiful. My biggest problem is that the the ankle fits very narrow so the zipper slightly bunches up right in that area and squeezes on the ankle causing a lot of numbing and pain. I'd say the boot is fairly narrow, I have slim fat feet and skinny ankles and it's a pain to wear these boots literally! but the pain is only at my ankles where the zippers rest so I can't imagine someone with thick calves ankles fitting comfortably. I wear standard size 8 and I usually go up a size in my shoes and boots but I stuck to the 8 in this because the fit is good except for the skinny design of the ankle section with the zipper. I don't know if going up a size will help, maybe I should have. As much as these are cute I would not buy this style boot again. I gave a 2 for cuteness, but for me, fit is more important and that's lacking due to how narrow the ankles are.
I love these boots
I bought these boots last season, and I’m still wearing them. They are so cute and great quality. I’ve gotten so many compliments when I wear these. Depending where you live, just be careful with rain, snow, and salt. As someone from Michigan, I really regret not taking them somewhere to have them winterized/protected. If you live in better weather, they should last a long time! I got the black suede with gold details, and I found them to be true to size.
Beautiful Boots but Not Wide Calf!
Please don't get me wrong with the rating these boots are absolutely beautiful. My problem is that they are not 16 inch circumference "wide calf" boots. I ordered my first pair online. They came really quickly. The color and quality of the boots are stunning. I highly recommend them for people who can wear regular size boots. When I received the first pair I was concerned because on the box there was nothing that indicated "w" or "wide calf". I tried them on and they didn't fit. I decided to measure them to see if it was just me or the boots, but no it was the boots 14 inch circumference exactly which is DKNY's advertised regular in this particular boot. I took them back to my local store to see if they made a mistake. The sales person was kind and assured me these were the correct ones and that they stopped labeling the "w" or "wide" on the box. I kindly asked her to order me a second pair to be delivered to see if this was a mistake. She obliged and I got the new pair in less than a week. Same gorgeous boots. Tried them on same problem. Measured them and yep they are 14 inch calf circumference. Super disappointed because had these truly been wide calf 16 inches as indicated I would have bought them in every color. They are stunning, but not for curvy girls :(
Perfect for a not tall lady like me :)
Perfect length of the boots for short ladies. It's really hard to find this kind of over knee boots that don't swallow almost entire legs. This gives a visual effect of extra length for legs. And the boots are so comfortable!
Disappointed
I ordered these boots in January and really only wore them for couple of weeks. Then the upper part just got too wide and the boots kept falling down. I looked ridiculous pulling my boots up in the middle of the street after every 10 steps. I've had several over the knee boots and it's never been an issue before. Macy's told me that it's normal and refused to take them back. Idk, if it's normal, why don't I see all women pulling up their over-the-knee boots on streets. I only had them for 2 months and wore the most 3-4 weeks.
