Perfect length

I’m writing this to hopefully help the older generation (late 60’s) out there. I've been looking for a loose leg fit, not wide leg, denim short that would at least hit the middle of my knee. First off, these are not a high rise as stated in the description, they are mid-rise, states it right on the tag, which I think actually look better. These shorts finally are what I’ve been looking for. I had bought and returned the Democracy brand, way too wide and long, the bar iii, too short and sizing was way off. For the sizing on the DKNY, I’m a size 8 in jeans, pants etc. I ordered both the 29 and the 30. I ended up keeping the 30 as the 29 were a little shorter than I wanted, the 30 hits me just below the middle of my knee and not that much difference overall, although the 30 size is very comfortable. I’m about 5’3 1/2. I do love how these look on me, youthful but age appropriate.
