Good shoe too tight

I recently received these sneakers. They are very well-made and I am disappointed to say that as soon as I tried them on I knew I could not “make them work“. They are just too tight in the instep and not nearly as comfortable as I had hoped. They probably work for people with a slightly thinner foot I suppose. I am not a true wide but these are just too tight for me. I am returning them as I have not worn them, just tried them on.
