The Sensors and Navigation take their time

I love Dyson products and have already bought at least five of their vacuums throughout the years, as well as a couple air purifiers. I have also bought previously a couple Roomba robots. The Roombas were not as efficient but easier to use than the 360 Vis Nav. With the Dyson 360 Vis Nav, I had to map, but the mapping was not what I wanted and decided it was too much trouble to map. Especially when the Wifi is down. So, the 360 Vis Nav is used without the mapping, but it doesn't always vacuum stuff up, because it first navigates and then, decides to vacuum, I always am using the Dyson V8 to vacuum the stuff that the 360 Vis Nav doesn't pickup. As always, I love the Dyson products for its solid engineering and the substantial size of the bin container. It has never gotten full on one vacuum because I empty it automatically after every clean. The V8 picks up more stuff after the 360 Vis Nav clean. It acts more like a helper, since I still have to move doggie beds and furniture to get behind and in between all that .

Great so far!

I really love it so far, it does seem to have a probelm docking, so I usually dock it myself!

Work in progress

I have been using the Dyson for about a month now and I see that it is still learning and when there are obstacles that can not be negotiated I just leave a restriction around the dining table because of the claw foot the sensors need to be cleaned because of dust and its interesting that the sensors need that much maintenance

Disappointment

This vacuum has been a disappointment for four family. The vacuum has not been able to create a map as well as precious robot vacuums. It is unable to return to the dock and typically the battery dies while it is looking for the dock. The vacuum itself cleans well. I am just having issues with navigation and sensors and getting the robot to the correct locations. Dyson makes great vacuums but the technology here is lacking compared with similar items.

Sunny saved my sanity.

I’m not sure why this is coming up under refurbished, ours is not. It’s new. We’ve had this vacuum for approx 6 months or so now and it’s saved my sanity. While our household are working and leading our super busy lives, Sunny (that’s our little vacuums name) potters around the house making sure the floors are clean before we get home. I have it set so that Sunny works every day, whether we are home or not. You set and forget! It’s so easy on the app to map, to set a weekly roster of cleans, to do a seperate or extra clean if you need it, it’s just amazing. It’s been a fantastic investment. I should mention the auction is second to none, fantastic. We have two white chinchilla Persian cats so there is super fine white hair constantly, but between the roller on the front and the great suction my black (yes I agree, the most ridiculous color carpet with white pets) carpets always look clean. It’s so easy to empty when it’s done cleaning, or inbetween if needed, and the de-fluff and clean the roller. The filter is easy to take out and clean too. The only thing I seem to constantly have come up is the sensors, they are very sensitive and are always coming up with ‘they need a clean’. If they aren’t clean, it can stop functioning well and get a little lost. It does have to recharge a couple of times to get the whole house done (fairly large 4x2) but I’m at work so it doesn’t bother me at all, and recharge seems fairly quick anyway. I really love Sunny. He keeps my home clean, he has saved my sanity (I don’t have to argue with teenagers as much any more), and I don’t know how I ever survived without him. I haven’t had one before and don’t have another brand etc to compare it to, but I also am so completely happy with the clean that it does and ease of use that I’d easily buy another Dyson when the time comes.

My house is very clean

This robot vacuum has exceeded my expectations in getting the house clean. I love how clean it gets things. I'm fine with its navigation, it is getting everything clean, not really missing spots and doing it on 1 charge. I was told they did a software update to improve the navigation and it seems like that was mostly successful. It does go over a few places more than once when it doesn't need to. A helpful feature that would make it easier to use would be a notification when it is 2/3 full so that we know when to empty it.
