The cordless Dyson Gen5outsize has the suction power of a corded vacuum. It has HEPA filtration for our deepest, most hygienic clean. It's engineered with the larger size, power, intelligence, and additional run time to deep clean larger spaces. It has a 25% wider cleaner head and 150% larger bin compared to the Dyson Gen5detect, as well as twice the run time. The Dyson Gen5outsize covers more floor with each pass and allows for more cleaning between bin emptying and charges. It intelligently optimizes suction power based on floor type and debris picked up. The LCD screen indicates when to keep cleaning an area and when to move on. The Fluffy Optic cleaner head reveals invisible dust on hard floors. The extra wide de-tangling Digital Motorbar XL cleaner head deep cleans carpets and hard floors without tangles. Its versatile cordless format transforms into a handheld vacuum with one click, and the wand detaches to reveal a ready-to-go tool for continuous cleaning.

Amazing vaccum.

Absolutely love this vaccum. Bought to replace my 11 year old cordless Dyson as it was getting hard to find spare parts. Have ended up using this now instead of my corded vaccum too. The suction power is amazing, it actually pulled up some carpet I wasn’t aware was loose. It lasts about 45 minutes on the auto setting and much longer on the eco but I tend to leave on auto as I have dogs. The light on one of the attachments is amazing, really helps with areas that might look clean but aren’t. The built in attachment for spot cleaning is great. This is also a lot quieter than my original Dyson even on full power mode. Wish I had upgraded long before now.

Hidden features, Great performance !

I bought this a month ago after a friend's recommendation. It is quite simply the most interesting household cleaning device that I have operated. Laser illumination of dust particles, piezo-electric filtration-measurement , loads of useful and interesting attachments, great suction and smart battery function, allow me to be task-specific. I love the technology, and my partner likes me all the more for it!!

Best Vacuum we've ever had

Absolutely love it, in fact the whole family does. We used to have a V11 Outsize which was really good too but was a bit heavier so enjoy the lighter weight and smoother flow. Also initially thought the Optic head would be bit of a gimmick but really enjoy using it now. Amazing the dirt it highlights that you can't otherwise see

Easier without a trigger

Great not having to hold a trigger. A bit heavy to use but does a great job. Emptying is a delight compared to previous models.

A vacuum for my needs.

Best vacuum i've ever owned. I recently had surgery on my collar bone and needed to be able to clean the house. My old Dyson Multifloor 2 was too heavy for my current strength. The Gen5 detect has alleviated this problem. One thing to note: The battery was dead on arrival. Dyson did remedy the issue with a new battery but it did take time to happen. I will hope that battery degradation is not as bad as people claim.
