Dear Alsocc, we're very sorry to hear of your experience with our panels which we'll share with our product development team. Blackout is an industry term used to describe the filtering of light by a textile panel and not to be understood as completely blacking out a room. The product descriptions include details that these panels blocks over 98% of light compared to ordinary curtains.
