Educational Insights Playfoam Classic 4-Pack

This is a fun alternative to Play Doh, which doesn't dry out, however I would only let a little one use it under supervision and on a hard surface as I wouldn't want it to get on my carpet or sofa and it picks up lots of fluff and hair with the sticky stuff in it. I like that it can be moulded into lots of shapes and it can spark creativity in children but I don't like that it's not very environmentally friendly as it's going to be one of those toys that ends up in the bin and then landfill soon rather than being passed on or taken to a charity shop.

Once you start squishing, you can't stop!
Playfoam is a great sculpting, molding toy. It's pliable, easy to use, and ideal for tactile play. I liked that it's ready to use as soon as you open it, and kids can play with it anywhere. When you squeeze it, it feels like it should be sticky, but it isn't! The colours are fun, and you get a good, sizable ball of Playfoam in four pretty colours in this set. It doesn't dry out so kids can use it again and again. It was fascinating to see how my child played with it. I thought she would squish it into shapes and just roll it and play with. But I found she was far more creative - she used it to sculpt and make all sorts of props for her doll's house. She likes to keep all the colours separate, but you can mix them and make your own unique colour combos. The only downside you may find is that Playfoam doesn't hold a solid shape for a long time, so eventually her creations came apart and needed to be squished back together again. As a mum, I like Playfoam a lot because it doesn't dry out, it's quick and easy to tidy up after playtime, and the squishing, molding action is good for her hands. (I sit squishing it while watching TV. Once you start, you can't put it down!)

Doesn't stay together & leaves gooey residue on hands.
Awful, awful product. Little balls go all over the place sticking to everything except each other. They leave behind a gooey residue on hands.

Squishy fun!!
I use this with pupils that have poor pencil control and poor fine motor skills. It can be fit into a busy day and is always great fun. The pupil chooses something to make and we have 2 mins to each make and compare them. The best hung is that it doesn't dry out and is always ready to use.

Playfoam Classic 4 Pack
Looks like the boys can play alone or together. Also, gives parents free time while boys are playing. Haven't seen them open the gifts yet, but from the description products are reliable and non-messy. Lets the boys create many images.
