Spectacular Amethyst

This is a beautiful, very large (10 carat) amethyst, with facets all over the top. The color is deep purple and the contrast of the purple against the white of the diamonds is spectacular. I wish the diamonds had been larger, but they glitter outside in the sunlight. Even though the amethyst is large, the ring feels comfortable on my hand. The ring is tall, going all the way to my knuckle. I definitely recommend this ring. I prefer an amethyst that is smooth on the top, instead of faceted, Effy.
