Regret my Effy decision

I bought an Effy collection set. A ring, necklace, and earrings in 14K gold and my birthstone, opals. The ring leaves a horrible black smudge around my finger every time I wear it. The stones are all chipped and the color and look of them are more yellow than the picture makes the opals look. I spent a good deal on this set and it was the first time I've bought myself jewelry this expensive and am very disappointed with the ring. I bought the set 6 months ago and I totally regret it now.

Nice ring

I got the earrings for my daughter and saw this ring. I didn’t buy it that day but I came back the following day and bought it. I rarely see Ethiopian opal in the store, it’s a good buy.

This is a beautiful ring online. Up close and personal it is beautiful but small and not what I expected. The opal looks like a pearl that protrudes too far out of the setting. All I could think of was the stone falling out. Not good. This is the reason for the return.

I absolutely love my new ring.

Beautiful Piece

I love it. I use it for going out or special occasions. My husband bought me the set and it’s very pretty. Not large but dainty enough. Sparkles like the stars.

Underwhelmed

The website photo made this ring look so much more beautiful and bigger than what it is in person. The opal stone is not white as the website photos show but more of a translucent opal color, like Ethiopian opals tend to be. I will be returning as I was not a fan of the dome stone, it protrudes too much for my liking. The ring is pretty but not my cup of tea.
