I bought these for super fine trimming that I do and I've had them for almost a year now and they haven't let me down yet. I do a ton of trimming and the blades haven't even tried getting dull yet. But, like I said, I do more fine type trimmings with occasional up to probably 1/8 inch trimmings. These are designed I think for this smaller precision type work which they excel at.

Lucky I bought 2 Pairs-Blade Snapped
I really liked these snips at first as the blades cut nicely for the first week. Then during week 2, while cutting a tiny leaf branch one of the blades snapped. I bought 2 pairs, and the other works fine (as of week 3) which is why I didn't give less stars.

Sharp blades make clean cuts.
I use this in my garden 3 or 4 times and the locking slide broke apart and fell off.

Blade lock fell off right away
I thought this tool would be great. I began snipping off spent roses and daylillies.After about a half hour, I noticed thatt the locking slide was gone. I could't find it. Because these have really fine points, they need to be carried with the blades closed when not in use. I don't know how or exactly when this happenned. Other than that, they're quite nice....very sharp and easy to get into the plant exactly where I want to cut.

Cheaply made snips.
😩 Pruning Snips The first pair lasted several months until i dropped them and then the plastic orange slide broke. Now months later I pulled out my backup pair same exact ones, since I was teaching a class on floral arranging. To my surprise after having just talked about how nice these snips cut and using it for about 10 minutes the orange plastic slide on the second pair broke. Would not recommend again! Seems like so many snips are made with a super poor cheap locking closure design! Fiskars used to make a multi tool snip it was perfect and they quit making it. I’ve searched all over to find more of them. Very sad.

Nice pruning snips
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are a nice, easy-to-use, small pair of pruning snips to have. I was able to use them on some of my raspberry trees around my home that needed some pruning and they work nicely. They easily cut through the smallest branches and did some bigger ones up to about 3/4" in diameter. Anything bigger than that and they struggled. Which, in all honesty, I wouldn't expect a small pair like this to cut through. They fit easily in the palm of my hand, have a locking mechanism on them so the blades don't unexpectedly open up and come with a small sheath as well. They do have a lifetime warranty and I know they stand behind that as I have other Fiskars products that they've warrantied for me.
