How am I supposed to gift these with a broken box?

I opened the packaging and the receipt was all wrinkled like someone put it in their pocket and unfolded it. The box doesn’t close properly and the siding is coming off. Looks like it has been tossed around by children. I’m embarrassed to gift these to my mother.
