A fun retro-inspired automatic watch for the Mickey Mouse fan, or the kid in all of us. Great vintage look and "open heart" dial make this a watch that will make you smile when you check the time.

Fossil’s watch/Macy’s price is a Special Edition
This was the closest to the original design I could find. Of course, the watch takes advantage of modern technology, as Walt would have wanted. The automatic movement functionality obviates the need for a battery. Wearing the watch will wind it up as you move. The sweep second hand along with a cutout window that enables you to see the watch mechanism lets you know when the watch has run out of human supplied energy. When this happens you just give the crown a few spins forward, set it to the correct time and wear it as if nothing happened. The numbers are large enough to make it easy to see the time. A thoughtful touch is the 24-hour clock in small numbers set on the very edge of the crystal display. Even though this is a Special Edition watch to commemorate 100 years of Mickey, the engraving to inform consumers they’ve got a Special Edition is low-key. Fossil stayed with honor ing the star of show by putting Mickey’s classic watch image on the front and added extra tributes of Mickey ears imprinted on the crown and a facial image of him on the back of the watch, which is somewhat open to display the inner workings. Price was the deciding factor for buying at Macy’s with a cost that was around $140 lower than anywhere else, including Fossil’s web-site. Macy’s offered another $44 off the price about a week after I bought it and I had no problem with getting rebated. The shipment came earlier than expected so it arrived a few days before Christmas. The watch is a family gift to my wife who loves it. The box it comes in is nice enough to retain as a keepsake.
