Style hard to adjust to fit properly

I really wanted to like this dress and size wise it fit, but the awkward tie in the back just didn’t pull correctly to make the garment fit properly. Returned and trying other styles from French connection as I have had success with others in the past.

How do you tie this thing?

I loved the color. Loved the fit, but the tie at the back was too short and I couldn’t tie it the way it is shown in the picture. Was sad to return it, but I knew I wasn’t going to use it if I couldn’t tie it in some kind of presentable bow.
