Inaccurate Listing and Poor Customer Support

I recently purchased a necklace advertised online as 24 karat gold, but when I picked it up in-store, I was surprised and disappointed to receive an 18 karat piece instead. I brought this issue to the attention of the fine jewelry counter, only to be told that the store has never carried a 24 karat necklace, and that the online listing was incorrect. While I understand that errors can happen, I was hoping the store would offer a reasonable solution given the mistake was on their end. Instead, I was told the only option was to return the necklace for a refund—no apology, no effort to honor the original listing, and no alternative compensation offered. I even asked if I could exchange it for another 24 karat item or receive a discount, but the representative was dismissive and unhelpful. This was not only a frustrating experience, but also a disappointing one, especially when purchasing something as meaningful and personal as fine jewelry. I expected more accountability and better customer service. I hope this issue is addressed and that others do not experience the same misleading information.

Case of the missing necklace.

I never received the necklace. I was told that they couldn't find it. A week later checking my account, I saw that it had been picked up. I called customer service and they investigated, but the necklace was sold out. I was supposed to get a refund, however that has yet to post.

Do not order from Macy’s again. I apologize.

No star for this, if I may. I HAVE NIT RECEIVED THIS NECKLACE SINCE DECEMBER. UPS SAID IT WAS DELIVERED BUT THEY DELUVERED IT TO THIER UPS ACCESS POINT LOCATION FOR ME TO PICK UP. MAXYS WOULD NOT REFUND. THIS IS A DISGRACE. Then, the Macy agent said they will refund. What a total LIE. I have not received the refund until now. And NO NECKLACE. I paid for NOTHING?
