Poor Quality

I refrained from getting this kettle because of the reviews on here. However when I went in the store,they didn't have the brand I wanted and the sales associates advised this was a good brand. One day after purchase the knob disfunction's. I had to return it

Good

It is very attractive. If you heat it on medium, as instructed, instead of on almost high, it takes a long time before it whistles.

bad mechanism

Handle mechanism stuck. Prior to purchase I tried to see if the opening mechanism was similar to my old teapot. Turns out my old teapot has a simple level design. This new teapot has a spring mechanism and it appears to get stuck on the edge of the wood tone rubber trim.

Do not purchase

After a very short time tea kettle push button opener jammed in open position making tea kettle useless.

Lasted 4 months

The paint began to peel within the first month and I took good care of it, removing it from that stove top whenever the stove or oven were on, emptying water after every use and washing it with a gentle dishwashing liquid. I was able to continue to use it until the spout popped off while heating water for tea and the plastic melted into the water. The smell was horrible and the wood handle extremely hot. I’ve used many tea pots as I drink tea daily but this was the worst I ever bought.

Great looks

Great looks and the handle which looks like wood is actually rubber. It whistles while it works!
